4th Grade – Meghan Furth

Meghan Furth is a first year teacher coming to St. Matthias after graduating from Towson University in December. She was a substitute for Frederick County as well as a long term substitute at St. Joseph School in Cockeysville, MD. Ms. Furth holds an Associates Degree in Music and a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. While this is her first year as a teacher, she has worked extensively with school-aged children in a day care setting as well as in her local parish. Ms. Furth has said that being the 4th grade teacher is a dream come true.
She is a life-long Marylander, having grown up in Anne Arundel County. In her spare time, Ms. Furth enjoys reading, playing video games, playing the saxophone, and learning to play guitar. An interesting fact about Ms. Furth is that she is a retired professional¬† musician with the Baltimore Ravens Organization. She is a proud former member of the saxophone section of the Baltimore’s Marching Ravens! Her favorite book to use in the classroom is Oh the Places You’ll Go by Dr. Seuss. She is thrilled and excited to be here at St. Matthias and is looking forward to a great year of teaching!
