This coming Sunday, March 29th, at 11:30 a.m., Father Jack will celebrate Mass that will be live-streamed on the Church’s Facebook page. Go to: The Church of Saint Matthias the Apostle (on Facebook). This is a first for St. Matthias, so pray that there will be no technical difficulties.

To all our families and students: first, we miss you and hope you are safe and healthy. In keeping with the direction of the Superintendent for Maryland schools, our campus will remain closed through April 24,2020. Remember our students in Pre-K through 8th grade are using Seesaw, the digital platform , for their work and communicating with their teachers. Grades 6-8 also have google classroom. Continue to check here, our school website, or your email for updates or information. Teachers are available through their St. Matthias email or Seesaw. Remember to join us for prayer each day at 4 p.m. Stay Mustang Strong!
Today, our 8th gr homeroom teacher, Aurora Anastassiadis, was nominated to join Kappa Gamma Pi, a National Catholic Graduate Honor Society. To be eligible for this honor, Aurora had to have demonstrated exceptional scholastic achievement and outstanding leadership! Congrats to Ms. Anastassiadis on this honor.
The Academy of St. Matthias the Apostle will follow the directive of Governor Hogan and Archbishop Gregory and close school beginning on Monday, March 16, 2020 and we will tentatively reopen on Monday, March 27, 2020.

2020-2021 BOOST Application is open! Applicants have until midnight on April 24, 2020 to submit applications. Access the instructions and start the application.
The Broadening Options and Opportunities for Students Today (BOOST) Program provides scholarships for some students who are eligible for the free or reduced–price lunch program to attend eligible nonpublic schools. Awards are granted based on household income, with the lowest income served first. Families have until April 24, 2020 at midnight to apply. The season of repentance and spiritual growth known as Lent begins on Wednesday, February 26. The students will attend Ash Wednesday mass at 10:30. Families are welcome to join us. On Fridays during Lent the children will participate in The Stations of the Cross at 2:05 in the church. All are welcome.
