- Archdiocesan Financial Aid
Financial Aid Applications for the 2018-19 school year are now being accepted for current St. Matthias students via the family TADS account. See below for the TADS link. Applications for prospective families will be open in January. Aid is based on documented financial need. Families with a documented need are eligible for local and Archdiocesan aid. Current and prospective students were awarded just over $49,000 in aid for the 2015-2016 school year again for the 2016-2017 school year.
- MD BOOST Program
For families applying to Catholic schools for the first time and whose need is significant, substantial aid may be available through the State of Maryland BOOST program. Watch here for application and deadline information in the Spring of 2019.
- SJL Scholars Program
Started in 2014, the SJL Scholars program pairs private donors with students with documented need for financial assistance. Donors are individuals or companies and are paired in a transparent relationship with a student to support approximately 80% of the tuition cost. Families must have a financial aid application on file in good standing to be eligible.

- Fr. Albert Hughes Scholarship
To honor the memory of our founding pastor, Father Albert Hughes, St. Matthias church supports a scholarship for its parishioners. Annual, parishioners of Saint Matthias contribute thousands of dollars to help support members of their Saint Matthias parish family in the pursuit of primary and secondary Catholic education. Applications are posted in the spring on the website and distributed at all Masses. Donations to the scholarship fund are accepted throughout the year as a part of the “Every Penny Counts” program.
