How to Apply
Applications for the 2018-2019 school year are available at TADsIn addition to the on-line application, please submit the following:
Baptismal Certificate or other Sacramental Certificates (where applicable)
Social Security Card
Latest Report Card (Grades 1-8)
Pre-School Progress Report (Grade K)
Latest Standardized Test Results (if applicable)
Latest Educational/Developmental Test Results (speech, IEP, 504 Plan, etc.)
Information Sheet completed (Grades 1 through 8)
Non-refundable Application Fee of $50 per applicant
Your completed application will be promptly reviewed and you will be directed to complete the enrollment process.
Children must be age 4 for Pre-school, age 5 for Kindergarten, and age 6 for Grade 1 by September 1. The re-registration of our current students will be completed in February. Acceptance notices are emailed in March for students in Grades 1 through 8, pending receipt of the student’s transcripts, information requested from the previous school, as well as room availability. Kindergarten acceptances will be sent out at the end of March following the kindergarten screening.
The Academy of St. Matthias the Apostle School admits students of any race, color, nationality or ethnic origin. Non-Catholic students are welcome, though all students do attend religious services and take daily religion classes. If our classes are full, we follow the Archdiocese of Washington’s School Admissions Policy 3510 and 3511, and accept new students using the following criteria:
Members in good standing of the St. Matthias the Apostle parish**
Members in good standing of other Catholic parishes **
** a Parish Verification Form, available on TADS, signed by the Pastor is required
