Kindergarten Celebrates Cinco de Mayo

Complete with bilingual stories, traditional food, lessons about Mexico, the kindergarten scholars at Saint Matthias had a learning adventure to celebrate Cinco de Mayo!  Utilizing the hands-on and play-based learning approach of our early childhood program, students learned about the culture and history of Mexico on this holiday.

Special thanks to the Lara family for providing a traditional Mexican lunch.

Students at Saint Matthias receive a natural exposure to a multi-cultural society.  The families that make up the community of Saint Matthias represent over 15 international cultures/countries, including multiple students who are bilingual.

The actual cost of educating one child at Saint Matthias was over $2000 more than the cost of tuition. This includes instruction and educational materials, and capital improvements. Your donations help us keep our tuition costs low. Thank you for your support!
