8th Grade – Ms. Aurore Anastassiadis

Ms. Aurore Anastassiadis is the middle school Science teacher as well as the 8th grade Language Arts, Math, and Homeroom teacher. Originally from France and Greece, Ms. Anastassiadis is passionate about sharing her knowledge of foreign cultures with students and encourages them to discover the world. She has been working in the field of education since her move to Japan in 2015. Ms. Anastassiadis was a marine biologist for four years, received her degree in the field from Colby College in 2011, and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in education from the University of Notre Dame of Maryland. In her spare time, Ms. Anastassiadis loves to read, knit, and volunteer with animals. To Kill A Mockingbird is a favorite in her classroom as it teaches students about compassion and the Golden Rule.
