Small Classes, BIG Results!

Primary Grades Celebrate Harvest Day!

Students in prekindergarten, kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade participated in a day-long learning adventure in Friendship Hall.  Students participated in academic and teambuilding activities, all centered around the fall season.  Students tried new pumpkin foods, did hands-on activities with gross and fine motor, and worked together.  Students worked on math projects with counting and measuring to create a snack of their choice.  Studies show the power of play on academic and intellectual growth long-term, and at Saint Matthias, we value and prioritize children being able to learn and grow in a hands-on environment.
