Saint Matthias Announces Two-Way Immersion Early Childhood Program for Fall of 2016
Starting in Fall of 2016, The Academy of Saint Matthias the Apostle will offer a two-way immersion Spanish-English program for PreK-4 and Kindergarten. The instruction in all subject areas will be 50% in English and 50% in Spanish. Saint Matthias is one of 19 schools nationally to be a part of the Two-Way Immersion Network of Catholic Schools as a part of Boston College’s Roche Center for Catholic Education.
This change was researched by the school advisory board of Saint Matthias and chosen specifically for its ties to Catholic Identity and the body of research that shows the strong cognitive skills of students who learn a second language starting at an early age.
To be made aware of informational nights, application process and other information, please fill out the Admissions Inquiry Form Applications for the program will open in Winter 2015-2016. Please contact Mrs. Vivian Ocasio Richards, Director of Admissions, if you have any questions.
