Saint Matthias Family Recognized at CBN-PG Awards Celebration

Members of the Saint Matthias family were honored at the 17th Annual Catholic Business Network of Prince George’s County Awards Celebration.

Carolyn Consoli was honored as Volunteer of the Year for her tireless dedication to the programs, teachers, and students of Saint Matthias.  Mrs. Consoli has served as the cookie mom for girl scouts, the organizer of the “Breakfast with Santa” and many other events.  She always puts Saint Matthias first.

Mr. Robert McGinley was honored as the business partner of the year for his legal guidance and expertise. Mr. McGinley is a former Saint Matthias parent and coach.  He helps with both the church and the school in an advisory role.

8th grade scholar Morgan Bernard was honored as the winner of the 2015 CBN scholarship essay contest!  Morgan will attend Bishop McNamara High School in the fall.  Morgan’s winning essay included the following quote “No matter how difficult life may me, having an attitude of gratitude will help you to realize that you are blessed and that you cannot take those blessings for granted.”

Dr. Patricia Kinney was named the 2015 Hometown Hero and was joined by her family, including author Jeff Kinney.  Mrs. O’Hare and Mrs. Sykes both had opportunities to have their picture taken with the famous author.

We strive daily at Saint Matthias to acknowledge and appreciate all we are blessed with!  Congrats to all the winners honored last night.
