Saint Matthias featured on CBS Evening News

Saint Matthias students and their student-driven decision to create a food drive were featured last night on the CBS Evening News last night.  Students Jaylene Sotelo and Ignacio Joy were interviewed for the piece that also featured Catholic Charities President, Msgr. John Enzler.

The Saint Matthias food drive brought in over 500 non-perishable items for our parish food pantry.  The food pantry is available on Friday mornings for those in the community in need to get a bag of food.

Other “Walk With Francis” pledges included acts of kindness and prayer in our community.  Students listed their pledges on sticky notes and on footprints displayed in the front lobby.
