School rules formed from classroom rules and student “hopes and dreams”

The creation of classroom rules began with students sharing their social and academic “hopes and dreams” for the year. In many classes, parents were also asked to contribute to these goals.  Classes held meetings to have students share their “hopes and dreams” and to use them as a starting point for class rules, asking “What do we need from each other to reach our goals?”

Once classroom rules were created and agreed-upon, representatives came together to make our school rules with Mrs. Greer.

This creation of rules is a part of our Responsive Classroom approach. These school rules will be presented to the student body next week in an assembly.

Fr. Jack’s Challenge
The actual cost of educating one child at Saint Matthias was over $2000 more than the cost of tuition. This includes instruction and educational materials, and capital improvements. Your donations help us keep our tuition costs low. Thank you for your support!
