Greetings, I am Mrs. Rampey and I’m so excited to begin the 2020-2021 virtual school year serving the students, staff and families of the Academy of St. Matthias as your School Counselor...
The following plan has been developed after a great deal of study and collaboration. In addition to incorporating the guidelines and requirements set forth by the Archdiocese of Washington’s Task Force on Reopening our schools, “Onward Together in Faith,” this plan is the culmination of work by the St. Matthias Reopening Committee that consisted of parents, teaches, parish staff and health professionals.
If you are a prospective parent seeking information about your child attending The Academy of St. Matthias the Apostle, please contact our Director of Admission, Ann O'hare at aohare@stmatthias.org to set up a zoom video meeting.

Join us on June 9, 2020 as we end this unusual school year with online Mass with Fr. Jack at 9 a.m. followed by a REVERSE PARADE at 11 a.m. in the parking lots at school. Teachers will line the driveway down to the back of the building, across the back, and up the side to wave goodbye to our students and families for the summer as they drive by. This will be a continuous line with no stopping. Both events will begin promptly. We can’t wait to see you all to say “Have a good summer”.
Today, our 8th gr homeroom teacher, Aurora Anastassiadis, was nominated to join Kappa Gamma Pi, a National Catholic Graduate Honor Society. To be eligible for this honor, Aurora had to have demonstrated exceptional scholastic achievement and outstanding leadership! Congrats to Ms. Anastassiadis on this honor.
