Mr. Joe Saverino is entering his third year at St. Matthias and eighth year in teaching overall. Mr. Saverino is the Middle School Social Studies and Religion teacher. His favorite part of teaching is relating topics in History and Religion to the students’ lives. He enjoys having discussions, debates, and seeing the students work on creative projects. Mr. Saverino graduated from the University of Maryland in 2012 after playing collegiate baseball at Maryville College. In his spare time Mr. Saverino enjoys watching his favorite teams the Nationals, Capitals, and Titans play. He also enjoys reading, coaching baseball, gaming, listening to music, sports, and going to the beach. Overall his favorite activity is hanging out with his family, which includes his wife, and two children.
