Mrs. Patricia Schratz joined The Academy of St. Matthias school community in 2016 after serving as a principal in the Archdiocese of Baltimore for fifteen years. She has been a teacher and administrator for 30 years and has loved every minute of it! Teaching is her passion and she believes wholeheartedly in the importance of educating the whole child. Over the years she has taught almost every grade and enjoys teaching every subject. Partnering with parents to form children spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically is a tremendous privilege and a great joy. She is dedicated to building a school community where everyone grows and thrives.
As a military wife, Mrs. Schratz lived and worked in Georgia, California and Maryland, as well as in Japan. She now lives near Annapolis with her husband who is a retired Navy Psychologist. She is a proud mother and grandmother. When not working or spending time with family, she enjoys cooking, reading, running, and tap dancing.
